Raw Materials

  • Kouna is a grass-like plant grown in the low-lying paddy fields and is cultivated locally.
  • It is biodegradable, non-toxic and has air-conditioning qualities

 

Production

  • Made by local weavers in the North-east India
  • Basic tools like hammers and needles are used in the weaving process to refine the product
  • Additional embroidery and 100% natural dyes are added to make the products look appealing and unique
